Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home which has a combined gross residence earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence cash flow does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 here and R600 000 read more per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
